Hattie Morahan is an English actress known for her roles in various movies and TV shows. Born in 1978, she is the daughter of director Christopher Morahan and actress Anna Carteret. Her older sister is a theatre director, and her half-brother is a music video and film director. Morahan's notable roles include Sister Clara in The Golden Compass (2007), Gale Benson in The Bank Job (2008), Alice in The Bletchley Circle (2012–2014), Ann in Mr. Holmes (2015), Rose Coyne in My Mother and Other Strangers (2016), and Agathe/The Enchantress in Beauty and the Beast (2017). She attended Frensham Heights School and graduated with a BA in English from New Hall, Cambridge. During her time at Cambridge, she directed and appeared in student productions.
