Hayden Rorke
Hayden Rorke (1910-1987) was an American actor known for his role as Colonel Alfred E. Bellows on the 1960s sitcom I Dream of Jeannie. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Rorke was the son of actress Margaret Hayden Rorke. He attended Brooklyn Preparatory School and later studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Rorke began his stage career in the 1930s and made his film debut in This Is the Army during World War II. After the war, he left the Army and continued his acting career, appearing in numerous films and television shows. Rorke's most notable role came in I Dream of Jeannie, where he portrayed the skeptical and befuddled Colonel Bellows.
