    Hayley Carmichael is an English actress and theatre director. She is best known as the co-founder of Told by an Idiot, a renowned theatre company, where she has devised and performed in almost all of their productions. In 1999, Carmichael received critical acclaim and won the TMA and Time Out awards for Best Actress for her outstanding performances in I Weep At My Piano, Mr Puntilla, and The Dispute. She graduated from Middlesex Polytechnic in 1993. Throughout her career, Carmichael has displayed her versatile acting skills and dedication to her craft. Her stage appearances include a memorable role in a stage adaptation of Emir Kusturica's Time of the Gypsies and I'm So Big, where she played the part of Lovely, a kidnapped prostitute.
