Heather Craney

Heather Craney (born 1971) is an English actress known for her roles in various films and television shows. She gained recognition for portraying Joyce Drake in Vera Drake, Alison Weaver in Life of Riley, and Emily Holroyd in Torchwood. Craney was born in Stapleford, Cambridgeshire, and attended schools in Cambridgeshire before studying English and drama at Liverpool Hope University. She later trained in Acting and Musical Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating in 1995. Craney has appeared in films such as Topsy-Turvy, All or Nothing, and Dangerous Parking. She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Vera Drake.
