Heather Headley

Heather Headley is a Trinidadian-born American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. Born on October 5, 1974, she gained recognition for her talent and won the 2000 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in Aida. In addition, she received the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album for her work on Audience of One. Headley made appearances on the NBC medical drama television series Chicago Med in 2018, recurring as Gwen Garrett. Prior to her successful career, she moved to the United States from Trinidad at the age of fifteen. Headley attended Northrop High School and Northwestern University, where she studied music from 1993 to 1996.
