Heather Langenkamp

Heather Elizabeth Langenkamp is an American actress, writer, director, disc jockey, and producer, born on July 17, 1964, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She gained recognition for her work in horror films and is often referred to as a scream queen. Langenkamp's breakthrough role was as Nancy Thompson in Wes Craven's slasher film A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). She reprised her role in the third film of the franchise and also appeared as a fictionalized version of herself in the meta film Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994). In addition to her work in the horror genre, Langenkamp has also appeared in television sitcoms. Her contributions to the industry led to her induction into the Fangoria Chainsaw Hall of Fame in 1995.
