Heather Deen Locklear (born September 25, 1961) is an American actress known for her roles in various television series. She gained fame for her portrayal of Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place (1993–1999), which earned her four consecutive Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama. Locklear's first major television role was Sammy Jo Carrington on Dynasty (1981–1989), which marked the beginning of her collaboration with producer Aaron Spelling. She also played Officer Stacy Sheridan on T. J. Hooker (1982–1986) and Caitlin Moore on Spin City (1999–2002), receiving additional Golden Globe nominations for the latter. Locklear has appeared in films such as Firestarter (1984), Money Talks (1997), and Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003).
