Burress went on to have a starring role in the film as Maddy. She also appeared in television shows such as Boston Common and E.R. In the world of video games, Burress is known for her English voice portrayal of Yuna, the lead character in Final Fantasy X and its sequel, Final Fantasy X-2. Burress attended Millikin University before moving to Los Angeles in 1995 to pursue her acting career.
