Helen Slayton-Hughes

Helen Slayton-Hughes (Slayton; October 30, 1930 – December 7, 2022) was an American actress known for her role as Ethel Beavers in Parks and Recreation. With a career spanning over 200 theater and television shows, Slayton-Hughes was a versatile performer. Born in 1930, she was the third child of Ralph Emil Slayton and Helen Peer. Slayton-Hughes was married and had four children and six grandchildren, although information about her husband remains unknown. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 7, 2022, at the age of 92. Her funeral mass was held on January 21, 2023, at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Hollywood.
