Helle Virkner

Helle Virkner (15 September 1925 - 10 June 2009) was a Danish actress, author, and personality. Born Helle Genie Lotinga in Aarhus, Denmark, she began her acting career in 1944. Virkner gained recognition for her performances at the Royal Theatre and went on to appear in numerous movies and TV shows. Alongside her acting career, she was also an accomplished author. Virkner was married three times, first to actor William Rosenberg, then to actor Ebbe Rode, and finally to Danish Prime Minister Jens Otto Krag. She had two children, including her daughter Astrid Helene 'Søsser' Krag. Helle Virkner passed away in 2009, leaving behind a legacy in the Danish entertainment industry.
