Henriette Mantel Biography
Henriette Mantel is an American writer, actress, producer, director, and stand-up comic from Vermont. She was born and raised in Newfane, Vermont. In the late 1970s, she worked with political activist Ralph Nader at his Center for the Study of Responsive Law in Washington, D.C. Many years later, she co-wrote and co-directed the hit documentary An Unreasonable Man, which premiered at Sundance in 2006. Mantel has also worked in documentary and reality television as a writer/producer on shows like The Osbournes and The Awful Truth. She won an Emmy for her writing on Win Ben Stein's Money and was a consultant for HBO's The Comeback. Mantel has also authored the book Speedbumps: Flooring It Through Hollywood with Teri Garr.
