Henry Corden Biography
Henry Corden (born Henry Cohen; January 6, 1920 – May 19, 2005) was a Canadian-born American actor. He is best known for taking over the role of Fred Flintstone after Alan Reed's death in 1977. Corden made his official debut as Fred's new voice in a 1965 Hanna-Barbera record, Saving Mr. Flintstone. Prior to that, he had provided Reed's singing voice in the 1966 theatrical film The Man Called Flintstone and several Hanna-Barbera specials. Corden took over the role full time in the syndicated weekday series Fred Flintstone and Friends, providing voice-overs on bumper clips shown between segments. Born in Montreal, Corden moved to the Bronx, New York as a child before making his mark in Hollywood.
