Hilda Braid (3 March 1929 – 6 November 2007) was an English actress known for her long career on British television. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Victoria 'Nana' Moon on the BBC One soap opera EastEnders. Born in Northfleet, Kent, Braid trained as an actress and dancer at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she won the Lord Lurgan Award. She went on to perform in West End theatre productions such as The Waltz of the Toreadors and Pickwick. Braid was also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, appearing in productions of Richard II and King John. Her television credits include No Hiding Place, Suspense, Crossroads, Softly, Softly, and Catweazle.
