Hiroyuki Sanada

Hiroyuki Sanada (真田 広之) is a Japanese actor and martial artist who began his career in the mid-1960s at the age of six. He gained prominence for his roles in Japanese and Hong Kong action films before establishing himself as a dramatic actor. Sanada is best known to international audiences for his roles in films such as Ring (1998), The Twilight Samurai (2002), The Last Samurai (2003), Rush Hour 3 (2007), and Mortal Kombat (2021). He has also had notable theatrical success in the United Kingdom, particularly for his role as 'The Fool' in the play King Lear. Sanada has made numerous appearances in Hollywood films, including The Wolverine (2013), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023). He has also appeared in TV shows such as Weeds and Westworld.
