Holland Taylor Biography
Holland Virginia Taylor (born January 14, 1943) is an American actress known for her work in television and film. She gained recognition for her roles in notable sitcoms such as Bosom Buddies (1980–82), The Powers That Be (1992–93), and The Naked Truth (1995–98). Taylor also appeared on soap opera All My Children (1981–83) and portrayed Peggy Peabody on The L Word (2004–08) and Ida Silver on Mr. Mercedes (2017–19). She received critical acclaim and an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Judge Roberta Kittleson on The Practice (1998–2003) and received four Emmy nominations for her role as Evelyn Harper on Two and a Half Men (2003–15). In 2020, Taylor earned her eighth Emmy nomination for her performance in the Netflix miniseries Hollywood.
