Holly Aird, born Imogen Holly Aird on May 18, 1969, is an English television actress. Best known for her role as forensic pathologist Frankie Wharton in the BBC1 drama series Waking the Dead, Aird has also appeared in popular productions such as Soldier Soldier and the 1997 film Fever Pitch alongside Colin Firth. Aird's acting career began at a young age after being discovered by a casting director at the Bush Davies Ballet School. She has portrayed notable characters like Elspeth Huxley in The Flame Trees of Thika (1981) and the young Beatrix Potter in The Tale of Beatrix Potter (1982). Additionally, she starred in the channel 4 sitcom Dressing for Breakfast in 1995.
