Holmes Osborne Biography
Holmes Osborne (born November 7, 1947) is an American character actor who has worked in film and television. He is known for his notable roles in movies such as That Thing You Do! (1996), Donnie Darko (2001), and Southland Tales (2007). Before pursuing an acting career, Osborne worked as a car salesman and an English teacher. During his time as a student at the University of Kansas in 1966, he began creating training videos and motivational clips. By 1996, Osborne had produced over 500 videos. He also had a brief stint in live theater until the early 1980s. In addition to his film work, Osborne had a recurring role in the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon in 1998.
