Hori Ahipene

Hori Ahipene is a New Zealand actor, director, and playwright. He is best known for his work in theatre, film, and television. Ahipene co-wrote the award-winning Māori play, Hide 'n Seek, alongside Hone Kouka. In the film industry, he gained recognition for his performances in movies such as Jubilee (2000) and The Piano (1993). Ahipene also made a guest appearance on the popular television series Xena: Warrior Princess in 2001. He has played lead roles in various television sketch series including Skitz, The Semisis, Telly Laughs, and Away Laughing. Recently, he was part of the core cast of Maddigan's Quest and currently stars as Angel in the television drama Outrageous Fortune. Ahipene is also an accomplished director with over 15 years of experience in the arts industry, having worked on shows like Skitz, Korero Mai, Pukana, and B&B.
