Howard McGillin (born November 5, 1953) is an American actor known for his roles in theater, film, and television. He gained recognition for his portrayal of John Jasper in The Mystery of Edwin Drood and for his iconic performance as The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. McGillin was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Dos Pueblos High School and the University of California, Santa Barbara. He started his career as a contract player for Universal Studios, appearing in various television shows and films such as McMillan & Wife, The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Bionic Woman. McGillin has also appeared in numerous stage productions and has received critical acclaim for his performances.
