Howie Seago (born December 15, 1953) is an American actor and director known for his work in television and theater. Born in Tacoma, Washington, Seago comes from a family with a history of hearing loss, with his father being hard of hearing. Seago, who is deaf, developed his mimicking abilities as a child with the support of his mother. He began his professional acting career with the National Theatre of the Deaf while studying psychology in college. Seago has appeared in various television shows including Hunter, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and The Equalizer. He has also produced plays involving both hearing and deaf actors and is highly regarded as an author and teacher within the American Deaf Community.
