Hudson David Yang is an American actor known for his role as Eddie Huang in the ABC television series Fresh Off the Boat from 2015 to 2020. Born on October 24, 2003, in New York City, New York, Yang is the son of Jeff Yang, a Taiwanese American writer and businessman, and Heather Ying, a Taiwanese American physician assistant. Before his acting career took off, Yang attended NEST+M (New Explorations into Science Technology + Math) and The New York Performing Arts Academy's 'FutureStar' Program. In 2021, he was admitted to Harvard University's class of 2025. Yang gained attention when he was interviewed by Angry Asian Man as the Angry Reader of the Week, showcasing his humor and personality. Fresh Off the Boat, based on chef Eddie Huang's memoir, premiered on February 4, 2015, after being picked up by ABC on May 10, 2014.
