Hugh Dancy is an English actor known for his versatile performances in film and television. Born on June 19, 1975, he gained recognition for his role as the title character in the television film adaptation of David Copperfield (2000). He has appeared in notable films such as Black Hawk Down (2001), Ella Enchanted (2004), Shooting Dogs (2005), and Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011). Dancy is also well-known for his portrayal of criminal profiler Will Graham in the NBC series Hannibal (2013–2015) and Cal Roberts in the Hulu series The Path (2016–2018). His role as Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex, in the miniseries Elizabeth I (2005) earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Currently, Dancy can be seen as Senior Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price on NBC's revival of Law & Order (2022–present).
