Hugo Alexander Speer is an English actor and director, born on March 17, 1968, in Harrogate, West Riding of Yorkshire. He attended Harrogate Grammar School and later studied acting at the Arts Educational Schools in London. Speer's acting career began with appearances in TV series such as McCallum, The Bill, and Heartbeat, as well as a minor role in the film Bhaji on the Beach. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Guy in the film The Full Monty. Speer has since appeared in various TV shows including Men Behaving Badly, Clocking Off, and Father Brown. He is also known for his roles in The Musketeers, Britannia, Marcella, and London Kills.
