Ian Buchanan is a British television actor known for his appearances on multiple American soap operas including General Hospital, Port Charles, The Bold and the Beautiful, All My Children, and Days of Our Lives. He has also worked with renowned director David Lynch, playing Dick Tremayne in Twin Peaks and Lester Guy in On the Air. Born on 16 June 1957 in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Buchanan studied acting in New York at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. He gained recognition for his role as Duke Lavery on General Hospital from 1986 to 1989 and has since appeared in various prime-time series. Buchanan's talent extends to the big screen, as demonstrated in his portrayal of Sean Brantley in the Columbo television series episode Columbo Cries Wol.
