Ian Harvie

Ian Harvie is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is best known for his appearances on the television show Transparent. Harvie is a trans man and has often referenced his gender identity in his performances. Born and raised in Bridgton, Maine, Harvie realized he was transgender at an early age but did not have the language to express it. He came out as gay at nineteen and as transgender at thirty-two. Harvie started his stand-up comedy career in 2002 and has since gained recognition for his unique perspective and humor. In 2017, he joined other transgender actors in advocating for more and improved roles for transgender people in Hollywood.
