    Ian Lithgow Biography
    Ian David Lithgow (born February 3, 1972) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Leon in the NBC series 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996–2001). Lithgow was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to actor John Lithgow and his first wife, Jean Taynton. He has two half-siblings, Phoebe and Nathan. Lithgow graduated from Harvard University and holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. He currently practices marriage and family therapy in Lower Manhattan. Lithgow has appeared in various film, television, and regional theater productions, including the Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Boy Gets Girl.
