He gained recognition for his remarkable impersonations of former U.S. President Barack Obama and his starring role in the independent film Along the Roadside. Crosson opened his YouTube account in December 2005 under the screen name Alphacat and gained fame in July 2008 for his spoof videos of presidential candidate Barack Obama. His 30-second video won Denny's Restaurant's nationwide contest, establishing him as the best impressionist of Obama. This success led Crosson to become self-employed, securing an agent, and receiving invitations to participate in America's Got Talent. On YouTube, he specializes in masquerading as famous personalities.
