Ira Flatow
Ira Flatow (born March 9, 1949) is a radio and television journalist, author, and host of Public Radio International's Science Friday. He gained recognition as the host of the Emmy Award-winning PBS series Newton's Apple, a science program for children and families. Flatow also hosted the PBS series Big Ideas. He has authored several books, including Present at the Future: From Evolution to Nanotechnology. Flatow holds a BS in Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He began his broadcasting career in 1966, working in television and later transitioning to radio at WBFO in Buffalo. Flatow currently resides in Connecticut with his wife Miriam and has three children.
