Irene Azuela (born October 27, 1979) is a British-born Mexican actress and producer. She began her acting career in 2000, appearing in telenovelas such as Todo por amor, Amores querer con alevosía, and La otra mitad del sol. Azuela made her film debut in 2007 in the movie El búfalo de la noche, written by Guillermo Arriaga, and won the Best Actress award at the Ariel Awards in 2008 for her role in Quemar las Naves. She has also produced the Canal Once series, Paramedicos. Azuela has been involved in theater productions including La Gaviota, Salomé, and La obra sangrienta by Oscar Wilde. She has a daughter with her current partner Enrique "Quique" Rangel, bass player of Café Tacuba.
