Sze Irene Ng is an American actress, teacher, banker, and founder and director of Mencius Mandarin Preschool. Born on July 28, 1974, in Penang, Malaysia, she moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania, at the age of 15. Ng gained recognition for her role as Shelby Woo in the popular TV show, The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo. She has also had starring roles on All My Children and Figure It Out, and has made guest appearances on Law & Order and Teen Angel. Ng has appeared in various films, including The Joy Luck Club, Heaven & Earth, and The Sterling Chase. She holds a BA in economics from Harvard University and is certified in childcare management from New York University.
