Irina Dvorovenko Biography
Irina Vladimirovna Dvorovenko is a Ukrainian-American retired ballet dancer and actress. Born on August 28, 1973, in Kyiv, Ukraine, Dvorovenko began her dance journey at the Kyiv Ballet School at the age of ten, after starting with gymnastics. She joined the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Kyiv in 1990 as a soloist and became a principal dancer in 1992. In 1996, she joined the American Ballet Theatre (ABT), where she was promoted to soloist in 1997 and principal dancer in 2000. Dvorovenko has performed lead roles in various ballets, such as Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote. She retired from ABT in May 2013.
