Irrfan Khan (7 January 1967 – 29 April 2020) was an Indian actor known for his work in Indian, British, and American films. With a career spanning over 30 years, Khan earned numerous accolades, including a National Film Award, an Asian Film Award, and six Filmfare Awards. He made his film debut in Salaam Bombay! (1988), and after struggling for years, he gained recognition for his roles in The Warrior (2001), Haasil (2003), and Maqbool (2004). Khan's performances in The Namesake (2006), Life of Pi (2012), and The Lunchbox (2013) further solidified his reputation as a versatile and talented actor. He was posthumously awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.
