Isabel Gillies Biography
Isabel Boyer Gillies (born February 9, 1970) is an American author and actress. She is known for her role as Kathy Stabler, Elliot Stabler's wife in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Gillies was born and raised in New York City and attended the Brearley School and the Nightingale-Bamford School. Despite struggling with severe dyslexia, she graduated from New York University with a BFA in film. Gillies has appeared in several films, including Metropolitan (1990), Another Girl Another Planet (1992), I Shot Andy Warhol (1996), On Line (2002), Happy Here and Now (2002), and New Orleans, Mon Amour (2008). In addition to her acting career, she is also a successful author, with her memoir Happens Every Day becoming a New York Times bestseller. Her most recent book is Cozy.
