    J. Harrison Ghee Biography
    J. Harrison Ghee (born June 16, 1989) is an American actor, singer, and dancer. Best known for their work on Broadway, Ghee originated the role of Andre Mayem in Mrs. Doubtfire, both on Broadway and in an out of town engagement in 2019. They also gained recognition for their portrayal of Lola in Kinky Boots. In December 2022, Ghee originated the role of Jerry/Daphne in the stage musical Some Like It Hot, winning the 2023 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. Alongside Alex Newell, Ghee became the first openly nonbinary performers to win Tony Awards. Ghee grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina and showed musical talent from a young age, playing various instruments including cello, bass, and trombone.
