Jaboukie Young-White Biography
Jaboukie Young-White (born July 24, 1994) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He gained recognition as the voice actor for Ethan Clade, the first openly gay protagonist in a Disney Animation Studios feature film, Strange World (2022). Born to Jamaican immigrants and raised in Harvey, Illinois, Young-White attended Marian Catholic High School where he participated in Speech and Theatre. He later studied at DePaul University, immersing himself in improv comedy through the collegiate improvisation program 'The Titanic Players.' Leaving DePaul in his senior year, Young-White pursued a full-time career in comedy. He has performed stand-up at various venues in Chicago and New York City, including being a finalist at the 2016 NYC Devil Cup Stand Up Festival.
