Jack Fisher
John Howard Fisher, better known as Jack Fisher, is a former American professional baseball player. Born on March 4, 1939, in Frostburg, Maryland, Fisher had a notable career as a right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball from 1959 to 1969. He played for various teams including the Baltimore Orioles, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Chicago White Sox, and Cincinnati Reds. Fisher attended Richmond Academy High School in Augusta, Georgia, and later studied at the University of Georgia. Throughout his 11-year MLB career, Fisher primarily served as a starting pitcher. He is known for giving up several historic home runs, including Ted Williams's 521st, Roger Maris's 60th, and the first home run in Shea Stadium history to Willie Stargell.
