Jack Gleeson Biography
Jack Gleeson is an Irish actor known for his role as Joffrey Baratheon in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011-2014). Born on May 20, 1992, in Cork, Ireland, Gleeson was raised in Ranelagh, Dublin. He attended Gonzaga College and later Trinity College Dublin, where he studied philosophy and theology. Gleeson's acting career includes performances in independent theatre productions and the 2020 BBC miniseries Out of Her Mind. He also has upcoming appearances in the Irish thriller film In the Land of Saints and Sinners. Gleeson has two older sisters, Rachel and Emma, who are also involved in Irish theatre. He was a member of the Collapsing Horse Theatre Company, which he co-founded during his time at Trinity College.
