Jack Hogan, born Richard Roland Benson Jr. on November 24, 1929, is a retired American actor. Known for his role as PFC William G. Kirby on the 1960s television show Combat!, Hogan began his career as an architecture student before joining the Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service, he pursued his passion for acting, studying drama at the Pasadena Playhouse and in New York. In addition to his role on Combat!, Hogan also portrayed Sgt. Jerry Miller on the NBC-TV crime drama Adam-12. He worked as a casting director for Magnum, P.I. and owned a building business. Hogan married Barbara Bates. Some of his notable film appearances include Man from Del Rio (1956), The Bonnie Parker Story (1958), Paratroop Command (1959), and The Cat Burglar (1961).
