Jack Kehler Biography
Jack Kehler (May 22, 1946 – May 7, 2022) was an American character actor known for his roles in film and television. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 22, 1946, Kehler began his acting career in theater at the age of 24. He studied under Sanford Meisner and Wynn Handman and became a member of the Actors Studio. Kehler's first film role was in the 1983 movie Strange Invaders. In the 1990s, he appeared in various action films such as The Last Boy Scout, Wyatt Earp, and Waterworld. However, he is best remembered for his portrayal of Marty, the landlord in the Coen brothers' cult film The Big Lebowski. Kehler also had television appearances in shows like Hill Street Blues, Cagney & Lacey, and St. Elsewhere. He recurred as Harlan Wyndam Matson on Amazon Prime's The Man in the High Castle. Kehler passed away on May 7, 2022.
