Jack Ong Biography
Jack Ong (November 6, 1940 – June 13, 2017) was an American actor, writer, activist, and marketing professional. He was born in Mesa, Arizona, to Chinese immigrant parents, Kam Fong and Jeung Shee Ong. Ong grew up in a small minority community and developed a passion for the film industry as an escape from reality. He earned his B.A. from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and worked as a staff reporter-photographer for the Mesa Daily Tribune during college. After serving as a Navy photojournalist during the Vietnam War, Ong moved to Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he appeared in various movies and TV shows.
