Jack Y. Yang is an American computer scientist and biophysicist. He received his Ph.D. and MS degrees from Purdue University, specializing in computer engineering and biophysics. Yang's post-doctoral training was completed at Harvard Medical School and Indiana University School of Medicine, where he focused on biostatistics and bioinformatics. He also received training in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. With a background in both experimental and computer science, Yang has extensive experience in teaching, research, engineering, and field practice in computer science, biomedical engineering, and biophysics. Currently, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Computational Biology and Drug Design.
