Jacki Weaver

Jacki Weaver is an Australian theatre, film, and television actress. She gained recognition in the 1970s Australian New Wave through her work in Ozploitation films including Stork (1971), Alvin Purple (1973), and Petersen (1974). Weaver's notable performances include Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), Caddie (1976), Squizzy Taylor (1982), and various television films and miniseries. She received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the crime film Animal Kingdom (2010). Weaver also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the romantic comedy-drama film Silver Linings Playbook (2012). She has appeared in films such as The Five-Year Engagement (2012) and Parkland (2013).
