Jacqueline Novak (born September 3, 1982) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and published author. She gained recognition for her off-Broadway, one-woman show Get On Your Knees, which was praised as a New York Times 'Critic's Pick.' Her outstanding performance in the show earned her a nomination for a 2020 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance. Novak is also known for her memoir How to Weep in Public: Feeble Offerings on Depression from One Who Knows, published in 2016. In addition to her work in comedy, Novak co-hosts the popular wellness/comedy podcast Poog with Kate Berlant. Her talent and contributions have earned her recognition in Time Magazine's 'Ten Best Podcasts of 2021' and Vulture's 'Ten Best Comedy Podcasts of 2021.' Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Novak grew up in Chappaqua, New York, and attended Horace Greeley High School.
