Jake Dunn

Jake Dunn, born Joseph P. Dunn, Jr. on November 5, 1909, was a notable American baseball player who primarily played as a shortstop and outfielder in the Negro leagues. He had a successful career spanning from 1930 to 1940, with the majority of his time spent playing for the Philadelphia Stars. In addition to his baseball career, Dunn also served in the United States military during World War II for four years. He showcased his leadership skills by managing the Stars team in 1939 and 1940.
