Jake Epstein is a Canadian actor and singer, born on January 16, 1987, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is best known for his role as Craig Manning, a musician with bipolar disorder, on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Epstein has also appeared in various theater productions, including the First National Tour of American Idiot, where he played the character Will, and as Gerry Goffin in the Broadway production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. His mother, Kathy Kacer, is an award-winning writer, and his father, Ian Epstein, is a lawyer. Epstein has an older sister, Gabi, who is an actress and jazz singer. He identifies as Jewish and was raised in Conservative Judaism.
