Jake Shimabukuro

Jake Shimabukuro is a Hawaiian ukulele virtuoso and composer. Born on November 3, 1976, he is known for his fast and intricate finger work on the ukulele. Shimabukuro's music blends various genres, including jazz, blues, funk, rock, bluegrass, classical, folk, and flamenco. He has composed original pieces for films like Hula Girls (2007) and the Japanese remake of Sideways (2009). In 2006, Shimabukuro gained international recognition when a video of him playing a stunning rendition of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' went viral on YouTube. Since then, he has been in high demand for concerts, collaborations, media appearances, and music production. A documentary called 'Jake Shimabukuro: Life on Four Strings' was released in 2012, delving into his life, career, and music.
