James Callis Biography
James Nicholas Callis is an English actor known for his roles in various popular television series and movies. Born on June 4, 1971, in Hampstead, London, Callis was brought up in the city and attended St. Martin's Prep School and Harrow School. He later enrolled at the University of York, where he graduated in 1993 with a BA in English and Related Literature. Callis gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Dr. Gaius Baltar in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica miniseries and television series. He also appeared as Tom, Bridget Jones's best friend, in the Bridget Jones film franchise. In addition, Callis joined the cast of the TV series Eureka in 2010 and voiced the character Alucard in the Netflix series Castlevania. In 2022, he made an appearance in Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard as Jean-Luc's father in childhood flashbacks.
