James Cromwell

James Oliver Cromwell (born January 27, 1940) is an American actor and activist. He is widely recognized for his extensive work as a character actor, appearing in numerous films and television shows. Cromwell received critical acclaim for his role in Babe (1995), earning him a Primetime Emmy Award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Some of his notable film appearances include Star Trek: First Contact (1996), L.A. Confidential (1997), The Green Mile (1999), The Queen (2006), and The Artist (2011). Additionally, Cromwell has lent his voice to animated films such as Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) and Big Hero 6 (2014). On television, he has appeared in acclaimed series like Angels in America (2003), Six Feet Under (2003–2005), and American Horror Story: Asylum (2012–2013), for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award.
