James Fleet Biography
James Edward Fleet (born 11 March 1952) is an English actor known for his work in theatre, radio, and screen. He gained fame for his roles as Tom in the British romantic comedy film Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) and as Hugo Horton in the BBC sitcom The Vicar of Dibley. Born in Bilston, Staffordshire, Fleet moved to Aberdeenshire after his father's death. He studied engineering at university in Aberdeen and later attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Fleet began his career in the Royal Shakespeare Company and has appeared in various plays, including Festen and Mary Stuart in the West End.
