James Jude Courtney

James Jude Courtney (born January 31, 1957) is an American actor, stunt double, and stunt performer. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of fictional mass murderer Michael Myers in the 2018 film Halloween and its two sequels, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. In addition to his iconic role, Courtney also appeared as Der Kindestod in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode 'Killed by Death'. Born in Garfield Heights, Ohio, on January 31, 1957, Courtney was raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He pursued his passion for acting from an early age, making short films throughout school. After majoring in journalism at the University of South Carolina, Courtney relocated to California to pursue his acting career. Prior to his breakthrough role as Michael Myers, he worked at Universal Studios Hollywood as a tour guide and portrayed Conan in the park's live show.
